This series was created in 2018 in memory of 5 lost loved ones, 4 family members and my college roommate. With all sudden, or bizarre deaths, these works are an attempt to bring beauty from pain, and glory in the value they brought to the world. Each work is tied to one of them in my memory.

This pregnancy has been incredibly challenging for me physically, emotionally, mentally.

My work has slowed but not stopped. In my 4th month of pregnancy I hit pause. All the work I was making I hated. I felt so frustrated and that I was wasting materials. I decided to take a self directed sabbatical where I could focus on other things - things I could be proud of.

I’m excited to get back to painting - post baby. I have many series written down and idealized. I’m waiting to execute when I feel better both physically and in the quality I’m producing.

Have you ever just thrown it all out and started over? Well that's what I did...I worked on a whole new series, concept, created the work, photographed it, and then after some critical feedback from a trusted friend... I decided not to launch the new series. My friend's exact words were, "I think you might lose people, it might be too far from your previous work." I understand and to be honest I was worried about that being the case. So we will recycle the work into future works and wait and see what the future holds.

In the meantime I've started building out the concept for my next series. I've also launched a new product! Framed Canvas Prints. So now you can choose from:

I took a bit of time off from social media. No pos

I took a bit of time off from social media. No posting, no consuming. It was the longest I’d gone without social media since probably 2009. I didn’t access any social media for over a week and it was a breath of fresh air.

I just arrived home from a trip to Iceland to ship “A Little More Air” 52”x52” which seemed very appropriate after enjoying so much fresh air there and after my breath of fresh air away from social media. 💙

I only have two small works left from the “A Little More” series both 12”x12” and framed.

Many people have asked for prints of this series and I’m happy to say they are coming soon.

This was my second trip to Iceland and last time I enjoyed a lot of the warm water experiences and spas. This time I enjoyed more of the cold water glacial plunges and soaking in ice waterfalls. AMA about Iceland.
