The mini-series, “For Color’s Sake” plays off my previous series, “Synesthetic Bodies”. In these works the paintings extend beyond the border of the paper, as though the color is jumping off the paper into our world. These three dimensional pieces are a playful reminder to think outside the boundaries we put ourselves in and allow ourselves to enjoy color for color’s sake. Each piece is mixed media on paper and is approximately 4”x6” framed to 8.5” x 11”. Each piece comes float mounted on a velvet backing in an oak shadow box frame.
