Am I Still There? #1

$412.00

Am I still there? Motherhood often feels like an invisibility cloak. There are some days I feel like I am coming back to myself, comfortable in my body again, happy with the kisses and cuddles and “I love you’s” from my children. Sometimes I think I’m finding the women I left behind when I had children. And then there are other days where I feel trapped in a life of my own making. A slave to cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry, diapers, appointments, screaming, tantrums and boredom. I watch myself and my dreams float just out of reach – out of time, out of energy, out of me. There are some days I feel invisible and ask myself “am I still there?” Is there any part of me that remains? Where is she?

These works are mixed media collage. Approximately 7″x7″ matted and framed to 12.5″x12.5″ free U.S. Domestic shipping.
